Arrange a GP home visit

If you or someone in your family is unable to come to the surgery because of illness, then you can arrange a home visit.

We provide visits for housebound and terminally ill patients.

If you've become acutely unwell to the point where you are unable to leave the house when you are normally able to, please consider calling emergency services.

Our doctors typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.

If you are able to come to the surgery, then we would appreciate it if you could book an appointment. This is because home visits can take up to four times longer than an in-person surgery visit, so it helps the GP to see more patients if you can try to come to the surgery.

You can also bring your children into the surgery if they have a high temperature there is no need to arrange a home visit for them.

How to arrange a home visit

Please ring 01454 412599 before 11:30 am to arrange a visit and let us know if your condition is urgent. Visits requested after 11:30 may not be able to be seen until the following day.

You can also request a home visit through our online system Klinik.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.

You should be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Change or cancel a home visit

You can change or cancel a home visit by calling the surgery using 01454 412599. If your home visit is no longer convenient for you, then it’s important to let us know so that we can help other patients.
